  • Participants will be asked to produce a short paper on policy development on gender mainstream programmes, in preparation for the workshop.
  • Participants are also asked to read the Bangkok Recommendations and be familiar with the BMF.

Participants will come from the targets groups - policy makers and managers of civil society organizations (NGOs of persons with disabilities, mainstreaming women's NGOs, human rights organizations, etc.) and self-help groups of persons with disabilities, in addition to some representatives from governmental agencies. Special preference is to be given to women with disabilities.

Results : At the end of this workshop and a follow-up workshop, the participant women with disabilities are well equipped with lobbying skills and motivated to take actions for ensuring that the women with disabilities' perspective is fully incorporated into the process toward the International Convention at all (national, regional and international) levels.
