The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Resources CD 2

The WorldEnable Consortium has produced, in cooperation with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, represented by its Social Development Division, the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Resources CD 2, with the priority theme “Accessible ICT, as follow up to the ESCWA Regional Expert Group Meeting on Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) for Persons with Disabilities" (Beirut, 25-26 May 2004).

Ambassador Luis Gallegos, Chairman, Ad Hoc Committee on a Comprehensive and Integral International Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights and Dignity of Persons with Disabilities and Permanent Representative of Ecuador to the United Nations (New York)

The Resources CD 2 is composed of two main sections:

  1. focuses on initiatives to promote ICT Accessibility by, for and with persons with disabilities and
  2. contains documentation on the elaboration of a comprehensive and integral international convention to promote and protect the rights of persons with disabilities.
