Rule 18. Organizations of persons with disabilities

• The role of organizations of persons with disabilities could be to identify

  • Needs and priorities ,
  • To participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of services and measures concerning the lives of persons wiith disabilities,
  • contribute to public awareness and to advocate change.

Rule 18 also specifies what organizations of persons with disabilities should do. They have a great deal to do with information, by identifying needs and priorities, to contribute to public awareness as well as to participation in the planning, implementation and evaluation of services.
