Step 2. Setting up an online forum for discussion about Internet Accessibility in Vietnam. To be completed in 4 weeks after completion of Step 1.

Step 3. Creating mailing list and/or newsletter to provide up to date information on Internet Accessibility. To be completed in 4 weeks after completion of Step 2.

2. Audience:

• People involved in Internet in Vietnam includes but not limited to Internet Service Providers, Internet Content Providers, Internet policy makers, end users.

3. Website Structure and Content Focus

• Describe the development of Internet and its impacts on social-economic development
• Definition of the term “Internet Accessibility”. Mention various aspects of “Accessibility”: normal people, people with limited network bandwidth, people with disabilities (blind, hearing impaired, etc.)
• Explain why accessibility is so important

3. Internet Accessibility Issue in Vietnam

• Language problem: people who speak no foreign languages cannot access information written in other languages than Vietnamese
• Network Bandwidth and pricing problem: Modest quality of local telecommunication infrastructure. High cost of Internet access and high cost of international leased-line to Internet backbone.

4. How to become accessible

• Provide suggestions/recommendation for policy makers, decision-makers on how to make Internet more accessible for all.
• Provide technical or technological suggestions/recommendation on how to make Internet information more accessible for all.

5. Regional and International Efforts

• Provide links to other regional and international projects/resource on Internet Accessibility
