Dr. Suchitra Punyaratabandhu will introduce the Speaker for the opening remarks. Representatives from ASEAN and the United Nations will also speak. The Seminar Director welcomes participants, introduces the course.

10:30 am Internet Technologies by Charles Kuhlman - 5th floor This presents an introduction to information structures, technologies, and trends related to networking in general and to the Internet in particular.

1:30 pm Regional Internet Technologies, moderated by Charles Kuhlman - 6th floor This is a round-table discussion on the state of network development among the ASEAN nations.

3:00 pm Internet Policies by John Mathiason (CD-ROM presentation) - 6th floor This presents issues in international and regional information policies that are the basis of the development and management of the Internet and the World Wide Web.
4:00 pm Internet Policies, Online with John Mathiason - 6th floor This is a round-table discussion on Internet policy issues as they relate to the region.

9:00 am Online Chat with R. Matt Bonham - 6th floor A demonstration of the use of online chat in a moderated discussion and instruction.

10:15 am Accessible Internet by Leo Valdes -5th floor This is a primer on Accessibility and the technologies and techniques to make the Internet more accessible.

1:00 pm Planning for Accessible Web Sites by John Mathiason (CD-ROM presentation) - 5th floor This is a practical approach to the initiation of a web site, considering proper design and web accessibility.

2:15 pm Exercise: Planning Aspects – creating a web page. - 5th floor Using simple web tools, create a web site as specified in the morning and afternoon assignment sessions and post these on the Internet.
