Writing Accessible HTML - Text
Visual formatting ignored by screen readers
- Use ALT text for separators
- Dont use BLINK and MARQUEE
Lists - start and end
- use proper list elements
- use numbered lists
Notes:
Narrated: Text-only web pages are accessible, right? Not really. Im annoyed when I see text blinking or having to follow text scrolling through the screen like credits in a movie. And what about (bad) backgrounds, like this? (Gestures to a busy background design and shakes his head.)
