Why Do We Need Accessibility?
A larger participating audience
Also benefits the mainstream
Its the right thing to do
Notes:
Narrated: Considering accessibility is important. A web site that is accessible for example, allows it to potentially reach half-a-billion persons worldwide who are disabled. Secondly, as in the past, general designs targeted to a disability group ends up benefiting the mainstream. For example, voice recognition software is now widely used for dictation. Thirdly, making reasonable accommodation is the law in some countries. Finally, we know that this is the right thing to do. Accessibility makes for equal opportunities for all.
