Disability Data in Population and housing censuses in Islamic Republic of Iran

Part 1

Population and housing censuses in Iran are performed by statistical Centre of Iran (SCI) each 10 years. The first offical population census was performed in 1956 and the last one in 1996. The data on disability issues were collected in 1976 and 1986 in individual level and in 1996 in houshold level. The disability data in 1996 census was collected to provide just a frame for survey studies in future; so the individual information was not gathered.
