Guidelines for preparation of a review paper
For this Workshop, each UNESCAP-funded (or CDPF-funded) participant is
requested to prepare a brief country paper on good practice of poverty
alleviation among persons with disabilities in his/her country and the
current level of implementation of goal and target 7 (poverty alleviation)
of the Biwako
Millennium Framework for Action: Towards an Inclusive, Barrier-free and
Rights-based Society for Persons with Disabilities in the Asia and Pacific
(BMF). Also, he/she is expected to complete the enclosed
questionnaire concerning the implementation of BMF and return it to us,
together with the county paper. The detailed guideline for the
country paper and the questionnaire will be forwarded to confirmed
participant, by email, well in advance, upon receipt of confirmation from by
the Secretariat. Please note that both the paper and the questionnaire
return is a mandate for all invited participants.
Though some country papers may not be presented at the Workshop due to
time constraints, all papers will be distributed to the participants and
they will be uploaded on the Workshop’s web site as valuable information for
the region. The country papers and questionnaire returns will be valuable
inputs to UNESCAP’s continuing effort to assess the level of implementation
of the BMF in its member states.
In addition to UNESCAP or CDPF financed participants, some additional
participants who wish to attend the Workshop and/or the Study Tour at their
own expenses may be accepted, on an exceptional basis, by UNESCAP and CDPF.
Those who wish to attend either or both the Workshop and the Study Tour are
kindly requested to contact UNESCAP for further administrative details.
Self-financing participants do not have obligation to submit the mentioned
paper and the questionnaire return.
